About the filmmaker: Stefanie Philpott is a Cleveland native and Brooklyn based writer. She is a proud HBCU alum – Central State University and released her first short film, SWEET NOTHINGS, in 2020 that was screened at the BronzeLens Film Festival. She has also written for the first season of TOUGH LOVE LA that premiered on Cleo TV & TVOne in 2020. Although she wants to explore different genres, she’s specifically focused on displaying Black relationships onscreen.
