The Project: It’s either 1986 or 2023, but one thing is clear: the bus that Molly and Dee are waiting for is not coming. They are hopeful ladies though, so they never stop anticipating it. Molly, a 30-something nun, was waiting for it before Dee, a vivacious makeup artist with a suitcase, arrived. They are oddly bonded as they discover they are both wearing thrifted Chico State t-shirts. Hearing Dee’s stomach growl, Molly offers her a granola bar from her purse. Inside the purse are many more things that will appear as they are needed, including one item that truly solves both of their problems and inspires them to take a leap of faith towards their hopes. They might have failed at wish making in the past, but this bus stop turns out to be a magical encounter for both of them.
