DO THE WORK

We will work diligently to represent equality for all women filmmakers in all aspects of The Future of Film is Female.

We will improve upon our amplification of Black women within our funding, exhibition, and promotional programming.

We will continue to amplify diverse voices of BIWOC within our funding, exhibition, and promotional programming.

We commit to making the community we build at The Future of Film is Female be a safe space for all women filmmakers.

For our own exhibition programming, we commit to a minimum of 50% of the included filmmakers in curated film programs to be BIWOC.

For our grant program, we commit to a minimum of 50% each funding cycle to be BIWOC and will always include, at minimum, one Black filmmaker per cycle.

For our zine and any publication by FOFIF, we commit to a minimum of 50% of those included to be BIWOC.

For us to participate in a partnership, as a guest programmer or presenting partner, the film program must be, at minimum, 50% BIWOC.

We are currently a volunteer-based organization but, as we grow, we are committed to compensating people for their labor and contributions to The Future of Film is Female.

We do not tolerate racism, sexism, transphobia, or homophobia by anyone involved with The Future of Film is Female or by anyone using our public platforms, including social media, or at any of our public presentations. Should this arise, that person will be banned from the site, removed from our services, and/or removed from the venue. Don’t be a dick.
