About the project: HOME VIDEOS is a fifteen minute narrative short film about two siblings skipping school to meet a man they've been talking to online. Production was supported by the Jacob Burns Creative Culture Fellowship.
About the filmmaker: Lauren Minnerath is a writer and director of films and television. She has been supported by The Gotham Film & Media Institute, SPACE on Ryder Farm and the Jacob Burns Creative Culture Fellowship. She is also a member of the WGA East's inaugural Showrunner Academy Program, which launched late last year.
She is currently developing multiple projects including a television series and her feature directorial debut, CLARE. Her proof of concept short for the film premiered in competition at SXSW this past March. She enjoys analog photography in her free time and lives in Brooklyn with her dog, Ruth.
